The Wally Shop is a zero-waste grocery delivery marketplace that sources products from independent sellers to make responsible grocery shopping convenient.

My Role

As one of the first hires at The Wally Shop, I led product marketing and customer engagement for a reusable packaging startup pioneering zero-waste grocery delivery in the US. I wore multiple hats — from growth strategy to marketplace platform problem-solving — while helping define the go-to-market approach from the ground up.

This role deepened my understanding of both the behavioral and logistical challenges of building circular systems and helped me connect storytelling, systems design, and product experience in a tangible way.

What I Delivered

  • Led growth marketing and user acquisition, growing our US waitlist to over 5,000+ signups in under 6 months through press, partnerships, and organic social content

  • Designed onboarding flows and customer communications to reduce dropoff, clarify user expectations, and improve retention in a novel reuse-based system
